Understand the Conditions
Document the field conditions, affected assets, site geometry and signs of change.
The erosion visible at the asset is part of the problem, but the forces driving it may begin elsewhere. Er-Con evaluates both the damage and its root cause before recommending the right solution.

Identify what is driving the problem.
Site fit. Constructability. Permitting. Asset life.

Construct the solution in the field.
Every project starts with a site investigation. Before we design anything, we study how water reaches the site, what it does there and where it goes.
How much water arrives, how often and how fast: rainfall, runoff and flood flows across the watershed.
What the ground can hold: bank strength, slope stability and bearing capacity for the protection we build.
How the channel has moved and where it is heading: migrating bends, lowering beds, advancing headcuts.
What the water does at the site: depth, velocity, shear and scour against the bank, bed or structure.
What the water carries and leaves behind, which decides whether a bank rebuilds or keeps eroding.
Every Er-Con project runs through the same in-house teams. The work is not handed from a consultant to a supplier to a contractor, so the people who define the problem are the ones who solve it.
Every project starts here. We study the site's hydrology, geomorphology, hydraulics and sedimentology, so our engineers can separate the visible symptom from the underlying problem.
We find what's actually causing the damage and how far the work needs to go, then recommend the fix that fits the site.
Our engineers turn the investigation findings into an engineered design for the site, set out in construction drawings built for the field and made to last.
Permitting extends beyond environmental review to floodplain and other site-specific requirements. Er-Con prepares and submits applications, coordinates with agencies and sees every required permit through review and approval before work moves into the field.
Our own crews build it, managing safety and quality on site. If conditions on the ground turn out to be different from the drawings, the crew and our engineers work it out together.
The result is a site-specific solution that addresses the forces behind the problem, stabilizes the ground and protects critical assets.
